The Brief
Working with London-based agency Born Social, the brief was to produce short looping animations that educated viewers about Galaxy Ripple as part of their “Ripple Effect” campaign. The short videos were to be used as promotional advertisements on their social media platforms such as Pinterest and Instagram.
Each sequence needed to showcase Galaxy’s indulgent identity while nodding to their support for women and sustainable cocoa farming. Every detail, from chocolate flow to material behaviour, was crafted to feel authentic and uplifting – all whilst designed with a “Rube Goldberg” concept to showcase the process of creating the chocolate.
x-particles was used to create the chocolate liquid simulations.

The Story
Galaxy’s ‘Ripple Effect’ campaign set out to highlight the real, positive impact the brand makes within cocoa-growing communities - from supporting women’s empowerment to encouraging more sustainable farming practices. To express this purpose in a warm and uplifting way, I created a series of animated Rube Goldberg machines powered by chocolate, colour, and motion. Each machine turns simple actions into delightful chain reactions, echoing how meaningful change often begins with a single small spark.

The Concept
The idea was to turn Galaxy’s ethical commitments into satisfying, whimsical machines. Using the brand’s colours and textures, I designed animations where cocoa pods and chocolate trigger cascading reactions that form the signature Galaxy ripple. My role covered animation, lighting, sound and compositing. The assets have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times across their various social media outlets.
