The Brief
The objective was to produce a dynamic launch film for Nextbase’s smallest camera to date. The animation were to be used on their website as sales materials, so they needed to balance lifestyle appeal with technical function, specifically showcasing features like 'Emergency SOS' and voice-activated 'Witness Mode.'
The goal was to make the tech feel accessible, authentic, and uplifting for a younger demographic.
The aim was to blend in the 3D elements with the footage and 2D elements.

The Story
The Nextbase Piqo campaign set out to redefine the dashcam market, shifting the perception from purely functional safety gear to a lifestyle-driven smart device. The story centres on the "Small & Mighty" ethos, proving that a discreet, "almost invisible" device can offer massive protection and connectivity for the modern driver. To express this connected experience, the narrative follows a series of authentic driving moments—from scenic road trips to city parking. The film highlights how the Piqo integrates seamlessly into daily life, using intelligent features like 'Witness Mode' and 'Emergency SOS' to provide peace of mind and instant sharing without interrupting the journey.

The Concept
To visualise the invisible connection between the hardware and the app, I utilised a hybrid workflow. Using Cinema 4D, I created photorealistic 3D product renders that break the fourth wall. These were composited in After Effects alongside motion-tracked UI overlays to demonstrate complex features like ‘Guardian Mode’ and ‘Smart Parking’ in a clear, high-energy visual style.
